Before we enter into the law according to the teachings of Islam why smoking is not allowed in the teachings of Islam, then I slightly touched on why the dangers of smoking to health.

Look at the content contained in the cigarette. More than 4000 chemicals contained therein. Hundreds of which are toxic and about 70 ingredients in it are cancerous. Hazardous materials on a cigarette, among others:
Carbon monoxide. Substances that are often found in car exhaust fumes can bind to the hemoglobin in the blood permanently so prevents the oxygen supply to the body. It makes you tired.
Tar. When smoked, the tar content in cigarettes will also sucked. This substance will settle in your lungs and have a negative impact on the performance of tiny hairs that line the lungs. Though the hair on duty to clean germs and other things out of your lungs.
Gas oxidants. This gas can react with oxygen. Its presence in the body increases the risk of stroke and heart attack due to blood clots.
Benzene. Substances that are added to the fuel oil can damage the cells at the genetic level. This substance is also associated with various types of cancers such as kidney cancer and leukemia.
In addition to the ingredients above, there are many content of toxic cigarette such as arsenic (used in pesticides), toluene (found in paint thinners), formaldehyde (used to preserve dead bodies), hydrogen cyanide (used to make chemical weapons), and cadmium (used to make batteries).
This is the effect of smoking:
Brain
Smoking can increase the risk of stroke by 50 percent.
Mouth and throat
Bad breath and stained teeth is an effect that will arise as a result of smoking.
Lungs
One of the most harmful effects caused by smoking is lung cancer.

The condition is called gastric acid diseases. Some of the risk of disease that would be faced by a smoker is or peptic ulcers and gastric cancer.
Bone
Therefore, smokers are more at risk of brittle bones or osteoporosis. Cigarette toxins can also disrupt the balance of hormones in charge keep bones strong, like the hormone estrogen.
Skin
Smokers will look older than nonsmokers because of a lack of oxygen to the skin. Premature aging will be felt, as the appearance of wrinkles around the eyes and mouth. Cigarette toxins can also cause cellulite on the skin.
reproductive organs
Smoking may interfere with the reproductive system and fertility. In men, smoking can cause impotence, reduced sperm production and testicular cancer. While in women, smoking can reduce fertility.
Why cigarettes are very dangerous and prohibited the teaching of Islam.?
Postulate with this paragraph is not strong, because everything was created by God lawful if it does not contain things that are destructive and harmful to the body.
While cigarettes contain thousands of toxins that medicine has been shown to damage and endanger health. Even its kill slowly, whereas Allah has said:
وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِكُمْ رَحِيمًا
"And do not kill yourselves; surely Allah is Merciful to you. "(Qur'an, An-Nisaa: 29).
Moreover, why is there no special proposition that prohibits smoking.?
Because of the new cigarette there 500 years ago, and unknown in the time of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, the Companions, Successors, tabi' Successors, as well as scholars of hadith writer thereafter. How is it possible to search for a special proposition that banned smoking?
Most of the others argue that smoking is makruh law, because people who smoke emit odor. This law diqiyaskan by eating raw garlic that emit a bad odor. As indicated in the words of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam:
من أكل البصل والثوم والكراث فلا يقربن مسجدنا, فإن الملائكة تتأذى مما يتأذى منه بنو آدم
"Those who take the onion, garlic (raw) and karats, then let him approach our mosque, for the angels disturbed by annoying people (ie: odor)." (HR. Muslim).
Some scholars others argue that smoking is haraam, this opinion is confirmed by Qalyubi (Ulama Shafi'i sect, died: 1069 H). In the book Hasyiyah Qalyubi ala Sharh al-Mahalli (Volume I, p. 69), he said: "Cannabis and every drug that removes any sense, zatnya sacred even forbidden for consumption, therefore the scholars we found cigarette law also unclean , because it may pave the way for the body infected with dangerous diseases ".
Ibn Allan (school of Shafi'i scholars, died: 1057H), as-Sanhury (Mufti Maliki in Egypt, died in 1015 H), al-Buhuty (Ulama Hanbali, died: 1051 H), as-Surunbulaly (Ulama Hanafis , died: 1069 H) also menfatwakan unlawful smoking.
Smoking has also been banned by the authorities of the Ottoman caliphate in the 12th century Hijri and people who smoke penalized, as well as the outstanding non government seized and destroyed.
The scholars affirmed the prohibition of smoking by mutual agreement of the doctors at the time, stating that smoking is harmful to health. It can damage the heart, causing chronic cough, narrowed blood flow has hampered the blood and ends with sudden death.
Though God forbid someone to destroy himself through his word:
وَلَا تُلْقُوا بِأَيْدِيكُمْ إِلَى التَّهْلُكَةِ
"And do not your own hands into destruction." (QS. Al-Baqarah: 195).
The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam also said:
لَا ضَرَرَ وَلَا ضِرَارَ
"There should perform acts that create disadvantages for others either starters or reply." (HR. Ibn Majah. This Hadith in shahihkan by Albani).
Therefore, all countries enact legislation mandating the inclusion of a warning that smoking can mebahayakan health of the body on each pack of cigarettes.
